Module 2 Managing Chaotic Households at risk of serious anti social behaviour

Social housing providers have a major responsibility to manage households who are at risk of perpetrating serious anti social behaviour in neighbourhoods. This course gives housing colleagues the opportunity to spend the day with an expert asb practitioner who will deliver training on all aspects of managing chaotic households.

Module 3 No Legal Action Allowed

Taking legal action to protect individuals and communities from harm is a central aspect of successful asb work, yet all practitioners know that most case work involves working to resolve problems without needing to go to Court.

Module 4 Managing Anti Social Behaviour in Neighbourhoods

This course is about working effectively with partner agencies, such as police, Local Authorities and Health Authorities. We explore the statutory duty of partner agencies to work with social housing providers. This is an opportunity for housing officers to fully understand how easy it should be to share and receive information with partners. To find out what tools and powers other agencies have to tackle anti social behaviour whilst working in partnership with you. A comprehensive training day for experienced practitioners to revitalise and enhance established working practices.

Module 5 Building Confidence and Promoting Citizenship in Your Neighbourhoods

How easy it would all be if your tenants had full confidence in your commitment to tackling anti social behaviour. How can you achieve this? Learn how to empower vulnerable witnesses and assess their support needs. Learn how to tackle intimidation and how to publicise positive behaviour to promote citizenship and successful outcomes. This course will give you the skills and knowledge to promote victim and witness support techniques and build inspirational relationships within your community.

Module 6 Mental Illness in our Community and Vulnerable Tenants

Social landlords are now in the front line caring for tenants with mental illnesses , especially when mental illness leads to serious nuisance, disorder or poses a risk to health.

This course provides housing staff with an in depth introduction to mental illness and how such illness can manifest itself in  anti social behaviour. The course also explains how partner agencies should be working with social landlords and how legal action is possible to minimise harm to all involved. Learn how to pro actively deal cases where mental illness and vulnerability is a factor.

Module 7 ASB Injunctions- Best thing since sliced bread

Using injunctions to protect neighbours and property from anti social behaviour and harassment is a core part of social landlords work. This course is aimed at housing officers who have not yet experienced the injunction procedure at its best. Whether uncertain about the evidence required or whether struggling against expensive and slow solicitors – the key to success is having excellent knowledge of the injunction process and the confidence to use it. This course will provide the knowledge and confidence that you need to make injunctions an integral element to your working practices.
